It's without doubt that we're located in a corner of France that offers an unparalleled beauty. With it's diverse landscapes and wonderfully preserved nature it's literally packed to bursting with magnificent and charming villages to visit. Each and every one of them is different and have been handcrafted by humans over the centuries. Monotony is non-existent, everything is steeped in history and charmisma. From simple homes through to farmyards and castles. Impressively maintained churches and museums displaying a wealth of heritage that's enviable. To visit our region is, without exception, an experience to devour and delight.

Corrèze :

Turenne : Find the remains of a feudal castle, a viscounts stronghold no less, which sits at the very pinnacle of this breathtakingly beautiful village. Wind your way through the quaint and cobbled streets, breathe in the atmosphere of it's old houses and chapels. There's curio shops to browse in, hunting lodges to take photographs of and a good dose of sunshine if you visit during the summer months.

Collonges-la-Rouge : Constructed from the infamous bright red stone, this magnificent village is known by all as the place of 25 turrets... so you'll not be surprised to learn that there are chateaux & manoirs that will offer you bucket loads of French charm. Packed with restaurants and cute shops, take your kids there and spend the day running through the winding streets, or just spend the afternoon sitting by the fountain eating ice cream.

Curemonte : Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views over the Corrèzienne countryside, Curemonte is not to be missed. A tiny village that packs a mighty punch with it's three villages and three churches. It breathes medieval heritage and is a true architectural treasure.

Dans le Lot :

Autoire : Lodged in a valley with heart stopping waterfalls placed centrally for all to see, this exceptional site is drenched in character and grace. Giving you twisting streets and half-timbered buildings with sumptuous manor houses and a fabulous 18th Century church you'll be sure to have an exquisite family day out.

Loubressac : With plunging views of the Valley of the Dordogne and Cère this medieval site is dominated by it's chateau and church. It glistens with refinement and offers some delightful trails that you can benefit from to boot. Taking a trip to Loubressac can be coupled with a trip to any of the other beautiful villages in the Lot.

Carennac : Packed to the gunnels with history and charm, Carennac has it all. The cloisters of it's church are certainly unmissable, as are it's quaint shops displaying local arts and crafts. You can access Carennac by car or if you're feeling really adventurous why not include it as a canoe stop-off whilst your floating down the Dordogne River?

Dans le Cantal :

Salers : Above all, Salers is a site that offers ancient buildings and beauty. You can admire the facades of the homes of Flogeac, of Bargues or of Bertrandy. Take a sip of the local fortified wine in one of it's auberges... and then buy some of it's fabulously rich cheese and eat it whilst gazing at the volcanic formations that have been transformed into magnificent landscapes.

Tournemire : Dominated by it's celebrated chateau of Anjony, this village is crammed full of stunning architecture. It's just half an hour from the borders of the Corrèze and makes for a stunning family day out. A visit to it's chateau should certainly be on the list and don't miss out on a stroll through the surrounding, and beautiful, rolling countryside.

And Encore... visit any of the villages of exception which surround us. There's the infamous Rocamadour, the amazing Souillac, charming Martel and the beautiful Sarlat. Brive is unmissable as is Figeac and then there's Beaulieu Sur Dordogne or Argentat. We're not sure where to end this list...
